Tangled up in blue (breakfasts!)

Fiesta comes in so many gorgeous shades of blue! Turquoise, Lapis, Sapphire, Periwinkle, Cobalt and Peacock... so many to chose from! One of the best things about Fiesta is how you can mix and match the colors. On one table I mixed 5 different Fiesta colors and the other was monochrome.

My second favorite Fiesta color is Turquoise! In case you were wondering, Persimmon is my favorite, but that is another post! I love both vintage and P86 turquoise, they are slightly different, P86 being slightly greener, but, I love them both and mix them together. On the weekends, I like to set a breakfast table for hubby and I. We are usually up early, he is the chef while I set the table. He always asks if I've taken my picture before adding food to the plates. This past weekend, I set two different tables, both using Turquoise.

Saturday featured the Turquoise polka dots pattern as the base plate. The polka dots is an exclusive for members of the HLCCA - Homer Laughlin China Collectors Association. The berry bowl is Lapis and the tumblers are Sapphire. I picked up some 70's napkins on Etsy, which also has beautiful greens in them. The napkins paired perfectly with a Lemongrass vase and Meadow and Lemongrass Belk boxes as an accent. One of the boys switched the lids and I thought it was really cute, so I left it.

Sunday was a bit more vintage feeling...

Have I mentioned how much I love daisies? Daisies are such a friendly flower! I love all sorts of daisy prints and am a sucker for buying them! I was at Home Goods and saw these turquoise place mats and immediately put them in the cart and then I saw the same ones in navy with white daisies and they went in the cart too! When I saw the aqua place mats I immediately thought of my Fiesta "Hawaiian Daisy" pattern! The Hawaiian Daisy pattern was in production from 1962-1968. I have just two plates, but they stay out all year long. The white and turquoise together is so striking and friendly!

I used a contrasting napkin and added my vintage coffee server to the table. The mugs are Fiesta Pedestal mugs. I love raised pattern of the Fiesta pieces on the mug, if you look closely you can see the teapot, the coffee server and the vase. I have a lot of Fiesta, but these are the mugs that get used the most for #2 son and I for morning coffee.
