October on the table, not the calendar

I caved a bit, I decorated for Fall a few weeks earlier than I traditionally do, but I had a good reason! Dear husband's cousin and his wife were visiting from out of town and I wanted to set a special table. I put together an October table using Franciscan's October pattern tableware. Sunflowers and apples are still being used as decorations, I just added some fall colors to the mix.

You can see the sunflowers and apples in the living room, I did add some fall leaves and more color to the flower arrangements. I realized after I had added some food to the table and hadn't taken any pictures of it, so there is water in the glasses and bread and butter awaiting the arrival of guests!

I love mixing depression glass with patterned dishes, in this case, I matched an Anchor Hocking swirl pattern in green and amber with Franciscan's October. The plate stack foundation is a wood toned charger, I think I bought at Hobby Lobby. I have no idea where the napkin rings or napkins came from, maybe this post should have titled, "I have no idea!"

I absolutely love the Noritake Breeze water glasses, the pale green color goes with so many different table settings. The stemless wine glasses in a darker amber have little flecks of gold on them. Everyday silverware, Mikasa "Harmony" on top of a rust (in need of ironing) table cloth.

The food was the highlight of the evening, the menu consisted of tomato salad with burrata, my world famous 25 pound lasagna with bread and butter and apple cake for dessert. Dinner was a success!
