My heart's delight

At our local antique store, I've been eyeing a set of cranberry parfait glasses for quite some time and finally they came home with me! I don't have a lot of pink in the house... not a very pink person, which is funny because I have a lot of floral dishes. But these glasses, what a gorgeous color! I think they will be versatile to use with Valentine's day, Spring settings, Christmas... or when I am feeling pink!

A vintage tablecloth on top of Grandma's lace crocheted table cloth is the foundation for the table. I think I bought this tablecloth when we lived in Philadelphia, I didn't even realize I had it. I had so many choices with the plate stack, I finally ended up on this one.

I love the layers of dishes with the scalloped edges on the dinner plate and depression glass bowl and the texture on all of the plates. Topping it off is cherry blossom depression glass in pink. They are a very sweet pattern.

Next is a Homer Laughlin bread and butter plate in a harvest design. The raised design on the edges are fruit, it's tough to photograph them!

Next is a cranberry glass plate, can't remember where I got them, but they match the glasses perfectly. I love the translucent color of them and the clear center! Maybe I am pinker than I thought!

The dinner plate is a Spode Archive Collection in Cranberry. I found nine of them at Goodwill, each a different pattern. This table uses all of the flowered patterns. Under the dinner plate is a silver charger.

The glassware is the Cranberry parfait paired with Waterford Mourne pattern Ice Tea goblets. I love how the shapes echo one another. The napkins are so old, they are a burgundy brocade with a geranium napkin ring. I love all of the pinks in the geranium flower, I think it matches the tablecloth so well!

The centerpiece is simple, two different pink depression glass bowls that are filled with hearts. My everyday silverware, Mikasa Harmony completes the table.

We aren't big on celebrating Valentine's Day, but this table would make the day special!
