It's officially Fall!

Today is the Autumnal Equinox or the first day of fall! I love decorating the house for fall! I do break "fall" into three distinct decorating themes, first, late summer early fall is all sunflowers and apples, some leaves mixed in, but still not full on FALL! Late summer early fall gets put up after Labor Day and stays until the first week in October. October is Halloween! And, I have to admit, I have a ton of Halloween decorations! I love skeletons, pumpkins, crows, spiders and witches. Finally true fall, which starts November 1st and goes until the day after Thanksgiving... gourds, squashes, pumpkins, leaves... the good stuff!

For each season, as appropriate, I change out some of the art on the walls, this is my usual art above the fireplace in the living room. Looking at it, it's not centered... hrmph! I'll fix it. Anyway, you can see the harvest fruit, sunflowers, a fig crate and autumnish pillows... and Pattycakes - who snuck in the picture!

Turning around to face the dining room is my red truck with apples and sunflowers, hubby found the truck for me, isn't it cute? I have it on a bread bowl to catch the spanish moss that falls. In the lanterns I have apples from the dollar aisle at Target!

And finally the mantle in the family room, it's doesn't get a much decoration as the rest of the house. I swapped out some flowers in the this vase for these cool feathers and rosehips sprigs I got at the Dollar Store.

Love the sign on the mantel from my bestie, yes, "Friends and wine should be old!"

Just a little bit of fall...
