I am so inspired by other blogs and the decorators that photograph and write them about their stunning Christmas decorating! This year I had help from my elves Kissy and the boys to decorate not only the inside, but the outside of the house.
The living room and dining room are traditional greens, reds, golds and silvers. The family room has the Star Trek tree and the sports trees -- our favorite sports teams!
The living room tree is full of memories, ornaments from my Grandmothers, vintage ornaments, vacations, wedding present ornaments, Shiny Brites, Russian Radkos and ornaments from Russia. It is filled with candy canes, icicles, snowflakes, birds and bows and berries -- all topped with a sweet vintage angel!
The dining room is decorated with acrobatic elves and poinsettia and Santa hats on each chair. Garland up the stairs have elves and ornaments lighting the way!
The family room has a decidedly different less than traditional take!
We are trekkies and proud of it! You can see Captain Kirk and Captain Janeway, a Borg cube, all of the ships of Star Trek are present, Worf and Q too! We have vintage Star Trek lights and the only tree with colored lights in the house (1 of 5!) Did I mention we also have Seven of Nine on the tree?
