Happy Easter!

It is no secret I am a fan of the Franciscan patterns. The Easter table is set with two of the three I own. The Desert Rose is inherited from my mother-in-law via my sister-in-law. My mother-in-law, Dody's, pattern was Desert Rose and my sister-in-law, Lisa, asked if I wanted it as she had no room to store it. Me? Turn down dishes? Never! Lisa has brought a few pieces with her every time she visits. It's like Christmas! I've picked up the odd piece here and there and have found wonderful rose accessories to complement it.

Currently, I only have four dinner plates in Desert Rose but the Ivy pairs so well with it! And, I do love mix and match tables!

First, the Rose plate stack; a Martha Stewart floral napkin with a pink and white plaid napking inside. I've used rattan napkin rings, #2 son and I tried desperately to use the cute white ceramic bunny napkin rings, but the two napkins would not fit! Next a Bordallo Pinheiro "wanna be" cabbage leave plate, from Home Goods. A cranberry bread plate is next, from our local antique store. The Franciscan Desert Rose plate on top of a mango wood charger from At Home. Glasses are my Waterford Mourne wine glass and a Fostoria Versailles ice tea glass. The Rose settings use the green and pink ice tea glasses. Towle Candlelight is the silver pattern.

For the Ivy plate stack: a green, pink and yellow plaid plate, the cranberry bread plate is next, and finally the Franciscan Ivy plate on top of a mango wood charger from At Home. The Ivy settings use the Fostoria Versailles Amber ice tea which is a different shape than the green and pink ones.

The complementary pieces are so much fun! I love the little bunny on the compote! I've found plates, bowls and the compote to round out my serving pieces. The yellow roses are from my garden, I've finally found a place they love and the deer can't get them. The roses are in Fiesta Daffodil Bud vase.

Like every other holiday, I love to decorate the house. Fitz and Floyd Bunny and Chick cookie jars grace the buffet along with my beloved Fiesta Marigold Soup tureen. The olive tree in the corner is decorated with Easter eggs too!

The Easter dinner menu is:

Appetizer:

Deviled Eggs

Main Course:

Au Gratin Potatoes

Spiral Ham

Rolls

Dessert:

Schaum Tortes

Meyer Lemon Curd

Fresh Berries

I hope you enjoyed your Sunday and Happy Easter to all of you!

I love the combination of patterns. Your green tablecloth sets off your dishes perfectly. What a marvelous way to spend Easter dinner!
