Today is hubby's birthday and to celebrate it, I set a Cubbie baseball table! He is the birthday king! His bestie is visiting and his birthday is next week, so we are celebrating both! They are both life long Cubs fans, so it worked!
On one of the Fiesta Facebook groups I belong to, a member sets beautiful baseball tables with this Homer Laughlin baseball plate. Unfortunately, she is a Dodger fan, but her tables are gorgeous! I immediately messaged her and asked where she got them, from EBay of course! A quick search of Ebay got me one, another search of Etsy got me another. I think I need 4 more!
The other two place settings featured the new Fiesta color, Twilight and Scarlett. Still not sure how I feel about the Twilight, definitely like it better than Cobalt, which was retired this year. On the baseball plate you can see a berry bowl in Cobalt. I did think the Lapis berry bowl looked good on the Twilight plate. I didn't take a picture of the Scarlett setting, doh! You can see the Scarlett Dinner Bowl plate peeking out in the top corner of the picture below. We love the Dinner and Luncheon Bowl plates -- salad and pasta are winners!
The Cubbie napkins came from Etsy too. They came in three different Cubs themed patterns, so cute! I've been waiting to set a baseball table with the plates and napkins.
The glassware is Lenox Valencia. They are such a pretty blue and they go with so many different shades of blue in Fiesta.
I love the look of the woven straw placemats, but they are pretty impractical to eat on, they make everything wobbly!
For breakfast Hubby made French toast and sausage and we had a little bowl of watermelon. Presents and out to dinner later for the birthday boy!
