Give me a home, where the bison roam...

Hubby and I love making a Sunday breakfast for just the two of us. This Sunday morning, I got a chance to set a pretty table for our breakfast.

In college, hubby's nickname was "Bison" therefore I have two different sets of dishes with bisons on them. My fall favorite is Spode's Woodland Bison pattern. This is definitely NOT a fancy table, but I love the colors and the casualness of it.

I have a couple of different Spode patterns, I love the detailed designs. These are so pretty with fall tablesettings. The scene on the plate is so sweet, a bison and a baby. The pale greens and golds compliment the brown of the bison and the deeper brown border on the plate.

The faux ivory napkin ring came from our local antique store. The placemat is from Kohl's and is a Food Network branded placemat. The colors on it go so well with my Fiesta all fall. The brown gingham napkins are from Pier One and so are the amber glasses.

Our weekly trip to the farmers market scored us zucchini blossoms and we said let's make a frittata! With the time change, we were both up early, hubs walked, I swam and we met back at home to watch Liverpool FC. At half time, I roasted farmers market vegetables including delicata squash, mushrooms, fennel, onion and zucchini.

We make up the frittata recipe as we go, depending what's in the refrigerator. This week we used the roasted vegetables, plus leftover corn from corn on the cob, a bit of Trader Joe's light Mexican cheese and topped with parmesan cheese. I love zucchini blossoms, these were so tender! And, they make the frittata so pretty!

The fall fruit selection is so yummy, a quick fruit salad of persimmons, apples, grapes and bananas made sure we got all of our fruits and vegetables for the day!

This is the first weekend in a while that we haven't had plans to be somewhere, yesterday we rode bikes and it was a beautiful day to ride. We are lucky to have the Coyote Creek Trail close to our house.

Today, I will decorate the house for Thanksgiving!
