Friendly Village February colors

After the bright colors of Valentine's Day, I wanted to do a more subdued tablesetting, one that reflects the mood of February. While the rest of the country is in a deep freeze and buried under snow, we here in CA have had a mild February. We've had a few rainstorms, but not nearly enough. Spring has only just started here, usually by now we have fruit trees in full bloom and green hills... this year has been more browns and blues.

Usually, I use my Friendly Village between Christmas and Valentine's Day. This is the first table I've used them on this year. They seem to be perfect colors for a table in mid-February.

I've recently added some vintage Ivory Fiesta to my collection and thought it went really well with the creamy white of the Friendly Village. I love the matte ivory of the vintage Fiesta. I have a few pieces of P86 ivory, it seems to have yellow overtones. The vintage is so elegant.

I do love the watercolor pastels on the Friendly Village, it makes it easy to pick a color and use it to highlight. Pale blues, yellows, greens and pinks add just a touch of color. I paired it with my Lenox Valencia glasses in blue and two vintage cut work and embroidered napkins.

I only have two Ivory Fiesta cream soup bowls, I love the shape and handles, the art deco details are gorgeous.

I found a vintage casserole dish with a lid, it is probably my favorite piece of vintage Fiesta.

Dark brown woven chargers anchor the plate stack on a Laura Ashley linen table cloth with a natural linen runner casually crumbled and a few faux hydrangeas and the table is complete.

I love the cool palette of this table with the browns and blues and just hints of what spring will bring!
