A Mod Fall Dinner with Friends

It's funny how my tastes have changed as I have collected dishes. I love the classic designs, truly love them. But, I am a child of the 60's and 70's... I love mod prints. When I saw this one I knew I had to have it. Villeroy and Boch's Acapulco is the perfect mod print to match with Fiesta! It looks amazing with Turquoise and Butterscotch! Released in 1967 by Villeroy and Boch, the graphics are bright and colorful and the piece shapes funky! I have two different salad plate designs, one with the main graphic and one with the pattern around the edge.

The Villeroy and Bach Acapulco salad plate on Butterscotch and Turquoise.

As I started to put the table together I realized it is way to early for a full Fall table, so I added a couple ceramic pumpkins. At Hobby Lobby I found the perfect candles to add to the table picking up on the colors in the plates and it was complete.

The menu for the dinner was a tomato galette for an appetizer, it disappeared before a picture could be taken! A grilled peach, burratta and pecan salad on mixed greens, my Bestie's company potatoes and braised short ribs. Dinner was paired with Red Stitch Pinot Noir. Desert again disappeared before a picture could be taken, but we made a classic pineapple upside down cake.

Good friends, good food and a pretty table.
