A little bit of hippy flair...

I love Villeroy and Boch's Acapulco! The pattern debuted in 1967, the same year as the Summer of Love in San Francisco. I like think there was a cosmic convergence for these two events to happen at the same time. I first saw pattern on the "I Love Fiesta" group page on Facebook and immediately went to search it out. The vibrant colors pair so well with Fiesta.

Dear friend Kissy helped to plan the table. There are two patterns on the salad plates, the main pattern of birds and flowers and border of them. For this table I decided to emphasize the Turquoise, Sapphire, Twilight and Lilac because I have my blues and purple Fiesta plates out for winter. I used my Meadow Pyramid candle holder with a green and white stripped candle. I'd previously set a table in Fall with Butterscotch, Poppy, Scarlett, Turquoise and Shamrock, the accent colors were Turquoise and Butterscotch and pumpkins.

The chargers are from the Dollar Store and are black with a Dias Del Muerte pattern, but you can only see the border which is what I wanted, the colors matched perfectly. The glassware was a mix of Lenox Valencia in blue that I ordered from Lenox and Fostoria Fascination in Lilac from Ebay, I think. My everyday flatware is Mikasa Harmony. I like the way the pattern at the bottom of each piece echoes the rings in the Fiesta.

The linens are a mix of a light green table cloth I had, mod napkins in the same colors as the the plates that I purchased on Etsy and the runner is the same pattern as the main pattern on the plates, also from a vendor on Etsy. The napkins rings are bright colors and I have had them forever, I have no idea where they came from!

The flowers are a combination of three different bouquets I had from the previous weekend's party.

So, why the fancy table? I was switching out my dishes from Christmas to winter and pulled these out too. I think they go with any season! It's Sunday and we are making pork schnitzel and spaetzle and decided to set a pretty table for dinner.
